Description: Arthur has a thin but very toned physique, however, it is often hard to tell by the loose clothing he has begun to wear. His normal garb is a clean and neat sailing officer's uniform. Since the last battle aboard the Witch's Folly, his attire has gone from the clean and neat to the disheveled look he has these days. His clean-cut face now looks grizzled and haggard. His blue eyes are no longer their bright and sparkling selves and his hair has gone from a dark sheen to a salt and peppery silver. Yes, the battle took a lot out of him. So has the bottle that is found in his pocket or stashed elsewhere, if not in his hand. Perhaps one day, he will find himself again.

Personal History: Arthur grew up seeing, hearing, breathing and tasting like a sailor. Salt water was in his blood from the day he was born. At a young age, he became a steward on a sailing ship. As time went by, his knowledge grew more and more until he was made an officer. Once in the leadership role, he found his niche. The captains he served under had wonderful things to say about him and hated to see him leave. Not all felt that way. There were some who didn't like his straight-laced ways and regarded him as a stuffy fool who would go nowhere on the sea and die trying.

The Witch's Folly came into his sights one day and he disregarded the cursed stories of the ship and her captain. He was not a superstitious man. He felt that if he lived by the code of the sea, no harm would come his way. Up until this point, that had always been the case. Arthur sailed about the Witch's Folly for several years and during that time, some ill fate would befall the crew in some form or another. However, none was so bad as the last battle that shook their souls. During the battle, Arthur fought as bravely as he could, not only to save the crew, but to save himself as well. Survival during that battle was more an instinct than a thought. The decks flowed with blood and Arthur would never forget it. Since that battle, he was a changed man. His valiant demeanor and courageous outlook has suffered. Now he is a drunkard who frequents the port's pubs and taverns. Maybe one day, someone will seek him out to revive his old self. Until that day comes, he will drown his memories to keep them from invading his thoughts.

Character Traits: Arthur is normally very upstanding and gives everyone and everything at least one chance, if he sees they deserve one. He had always done things by the book, even though he was expected not to. His true loyalty was to the sea, but he always did what was in the best interest of his captain and crew. Seeing all that he has in his life, he has a deep wisdom that he humbly expresses when the time calls for it.

Medical History: Arthur has been in picture perfect health for most of his life. The common scars of a sailor are branded on his body. He had obtained a limp from his last battle at sea. His leg was gashed open and is still healing. Other than his perpetual drunkenness, he is still in good health.
